What is the symbolism behind labyrinths? 

There are many different representations, but these are MY favorites.


Journey and Transformation: Labyrinths represent a journey, both physical and metaphorical. Walking the labyrinth path mirrors life’s twists and turns, symbolizing our personal journeys, growth, and transformation.

Meditation and Contemplation: Labyrinths serve as meditative tools. As you walk the path, you can focus your mind, release stress, and find inner peace. The winding path encourages mindfulness and self-reflection.

Can you see why I love them?  Transformative journey on the physical, mental and at times spiritual. This is the definition of parenthood. Why not have your labor journey be the same?

Why choose a Labyrinth birth?

When you are in labor it helps to have rhythm, rituals, and relaxation.  The Labyrinth birth can add rhythm by using a sway, a rock, or any movement that comes naturally.  Ritual is added by walking from “station to station” in a repetitive pattern. Thus, allowing the mind to be free and get into the flow of the path's journey ahead.  Relaxation is provided upon returning to the “center” of the labyrinth when needed to refocus and re-calm your inner self. 

Just like the labor dance, the labyrinth has twists and turns. It may not be short, it may be confusing and unpredictable but the more you walk it the more it becomes familiar, and easier to travel.  

Labyrinths come in all sorts of unique shapes and sizes.  Each birth is no different!  Every client that decides to utilize this birth package will get a labyrinth birth completely custom to their needs and desires.
